It’s Friday.. with a giveaway
This little beech tree in the corner of the garden is doing it’s best with autumn colour now…
The squashes have been harvested….
I’m so proud of those butternuts ….
The leaves are definately falling… and burying the garden… and the chickens and anything else that stands still for long.
Something else which is burying me at the moment are the number of pieces of fabric that get left at the ends of bolts that aren’t exactly any particular size and I’ve loads of them….loads and loads.
So, time to for a sort out and I thought I’d have a giveaway on my blog every Friday until Christmas. Sometimes, it’ll be a set of fat quarters (because I’ve some new fabriccy news to share next week), sometimes it’ll be a ‘large-ish’ collection of fabric remnants. It’ll include the cuts that get left at the end of bolts, so 6 inches or so wide cut across the width of the bolts, sometimes there will also be fat eighths and fat quarters. So, quite a lucky-dip, fabric in a mixture of sizes and from a mixture of designers. I’ll also include some useful solids…
This collection includes some Heather Bailey Pop Garden and Bijoux fabrics, some Amy Butler Midwest Modern, some Lotus and Belle fabrics, spiced up with a little of Amy’s home dec fabric. Plus, there are some pretty Moda fabrics, which I wish didn’t disappear so quickly and some glorious Anna Maria Horner Garden Party fabrics. (You can click on the pictures for a closer look.) Useful bits and pieces for those little projects and useful colours and designs for applique. Some of these fabrics are current designs, some have now been discontinued and others have been discontinued and are about to make a comback due to crafters demands. (Being re-printed as we speak…)
If you wish to join in then please just leave a comment on this post and I’ll announce the winner next Friday when I’ll post the next giveaway.

Oh what fun, I love lucky dips!
Wonder what you news may be? I have seen a lot of wonderful new fabrics being launched in the last few weeks, so fingers crossed it may be something to do with them.

Ohhhhh……you have such pretty fabrics and such beautiful things in your shop.
Butternut squash works really well to make pumpkin pie by the way, which is lovely if you like cinammon and cloves. Its a real North American dish (I’m from Canada originally) and its not autumn without pumpkin pie to me!

You must be really proud of those squashes. One good thing about them is that they keep for months so you should be ok for lots of yummy dishes through the winter. A great giveaway. Thanks.

Nice butternut squashes indeed, it’s fair to feel proud. I’m in this country for some days more, so I could be lucky this time.
Thanks

What a wonderful crop of squashes. I grew some by accident this year – seeds thrown into the compost germinated but unfortunately a little too late for them to grow large enough and to develop. Maybe I’ll try some intentionally next year. Thanks for the great giveaway, count me in please.

Oh yes please! I could definitely use some remnants to add to my stash (although I have a feeling my partner would not agree)! Your squashes look great – I may need to run out to the market to grab one for myself for dinner.

Me too!!! Can I play?? I love scrappy bits of goodness and if these are as lovely as the pics suggest (which I don’t doubt they are) someone is in for a real treat!!!
I love butternut squash but my partner and kids hate it so I don’t get to eat it all that often, so rather jealous of your “stash of squash”!!! Perhaps if I grew some next year I’d have more of an excuse to eat it!! Mmmmm…..Yes……, this may be a solution to my squash famine forming!! Need to go and plot some more!! Hee,hee!! Is it easy to grow?
