Shipping & Returns
Even though we are a UK-based business, we will normally ship our goods to you wherever in the world you live (as long as the Royal Mail is willing and able). If you want to check whether we will ship to your destination, please just contact us.
Your purchases are checked, hand packed and despatched via Royal Mail. We think that it is important that you receive your purchases as soon as possible so we will process your order promptly, but we never compromise accuracy for speed. You'll be notified of any significant delays via e-mail.
- We are unable to guarantee postage timescales as these are beyond our control.
- We are now sending all our international orders over £70 using the Royal Mail International Signed-for service as this seems to be the most reliable way to ensure a fast and safe delivery.
- If your parcel has been delayed we will do our best to help by providing tracking numbers (where available, UK only) and or confirmation of dispatch dates.
- We cannot be held responsible for any items that get lost or damaged in the post.
- We will not re-ship or refund a lost or damaged package. It is your responsibility to file a claim with the post office and we will provide all the information we can to help you with that process.
Postage and Packaging charges
Postage and packaging costs are added automatically to the shopping cart as you complete your order. As you add items to your shopping trolley you can use the 'Estimate Shipping' button to give you an idea of costs. When you checkout, postage costs will be listed as an item on your order. We reserve the right to ship high value or bulky orders using the most appropriate and/or cost-effective method.

If you are unhappy with your purchase you can return an item to us. Please contact us immediately via e-mail or telephone. Within the European Union, customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days beginning the day after the date that the item is delivered. The goods must be in their original condition and returned to us at the address shown on our web site. We recommend that you receive a proof of posting or use recorded delivery. Please note that we cannot accept returns of CDs, patterns or haberdashery items that have been opened, books or materials cut to non-standard requirements. We will issue a full refund. Please note however that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless the item was delivered to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective - hence postage and packaging charges you incur in returning the item to us are not refundable. If we have to collect an item for you we reserve the right to recover the costs of collection from you. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Damaged, defective or incorrect items
Your order is important to us, so we select, check and package your items with care. However, in the unlikely event of products being faulty or of sub-standard quality, please contact us immediately via e-mail or telephone. We will discuss arrangements for resolving the problem. We will refund the delivery charges incurred in returning the item to us (we will either send you a pre-paid, addressed envelope, or refund your return postage costs). Please note that we check all items returned to us and if we cannot find a fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item(s) and to recover any costs incurred in recovering it from you.
