This Vilene Flexi firm (2VS320) comes from Vilene's craft range of interlinings. It is a fusible, woven interlining, perfect for collars, cuffs and hat brims. It also works well in bags and fabric bowls that need support. It is a fusible interfacing, white and 90cm wide.
The result of fusing the interlining to fabric is to stiffen the fabric, yet it remains lightweight, the fabric still moves. It doesn't become cardboard like.
Use your iron in order to bond it to the fabric and stiffen it.
To fuse the interlining to the fabric set the iron to wool/cotton and press firmly, little by little for approximately 15 seconds, using a damp cloth.
It easy to use and adds great 'body' to a fabric. It's always a good idea to use a piece of scrap fabric with an 'unfamiliar' interlining to check that this is the effect you're looking for.
