This pattern includes sewing instructions to make a folding tote, a tote sash (for tying multiple totes together) a pouch or wallet.
Be fully equipped and organised for that next trip to the shops. Leave the plastic bags behind and do something good for the planet. Each reusable bag folds into a compact wallet for easy storage.
Materials List
PER FOLDING TOTE
(14”w x 21”h x 3”d finished size, folds to 8.75”w x 4”h)
NOTE: For tote to fold properly, use quilting-weight
cotton (44”/45”w).
• 5/8 yd main fabric
• 5/8 yd contrast fabric
• 1/2 yd lining fabric
• 3/4 yd light-weight, fusible interfacing, 22”+ wide
• 1” length of hook & loop tape, 3/4” wide
• Thread
TOTE SASH (for strapping multiple totes together)
• 12”w x 25”h fabric
• 12”w x 25”h light-weight, fusible interfacing
• Felt scraps for tree or flower embellishment (optional)
• Large button or brooch for flower center (optional)
• 1” length of hook & loop tape, 3/4” wide
• Thread
POUCH OR WALLET
Pouch (3.75”w x 4.25”h finished size)
• 12”w x 14”h fabric
• 12”w x 14”h light-weight, fusible interfacing
Wallet (8.75” w x 4”h finished size)
• 22”w x 14”h fabric (two wallets fit onto 1/2 yd)
